Neutral. When talking about a group of students, 班 is used, as in 我们的班 ("our class"). To say "to attend class" or "class begins," use 上课. For a full curriculum or course of study, 课程 is often used.
How to pronounce it
Sounds like "kuh" with a sharp, falling tone (like saying "cut" but stopping abruptly after the "kuh" sound).
Other ways to say it
- 班bānclass (group of students)
- 上课shàng kèto attend class / class begins
- 课程kè chéngcourse / curriculum
